Elizabeth & Nathan in Milwaukee, WI

Elizabeth & Nathan in Milwaukee, WI
Elizabeth and Nathan planned a stylish yet classic look that would show off the best of their city to out-of-town guests.

Event Planning: Dynamic Events
Location:
Knot Pick
The couple had their ceremony at Elizabeth’s family church.
Elizabeth carried a classic, all-white bouquet wrapped in pale-pink ribbon.
Lush and round bouquets of bright-pink roses popped against the bridesmaids’ evening-blue dresses.
Nathan kept his look simple and classic, with a black tux and bow tie, and a boutonniere of a single pink rose.
While all of the bridesmaid dresses were the same color, the girls chose their own style necklines and wore any pashmina or sweater they wanted, which added lots of color to the group photos.
Some of the dinner tables were decorated with tall arrangements of pink flowers and branches. Navy linens and pink napkins stuck to the color palette.
Windhover Hall at the Milwaukee Art Museum is a multistory gallery designed to look like the interior of a ship -- a really cool space for a wedding reception.
Elegant navy-blue table number cards were set near the centerpieces.
Elizabeth’s ivory satin dress with lace detailing and Nathan’s tuxedo fit their museum wedding’s style.
The Bride Elizabeth Sullivan, 27, a resident doctor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical College of Wisconsin
The Groom Nathan Thompson, 28, a resident physician in Radiology at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee
The Date April 17

Elizabeth and Nathan chose the Milwaukee Art Museum for its location (right on Lake Michigan) and its unique architecture, which created a clean backdrop for the reception. A navy-blue and hot-pink color palette felt very “Ralph Lauren” to them -- stylish yet classic.
